DTiNews will stage a live, online forum with AAC Language & Skills Training on the best methods for studying English on June 10.
The forum will provide support for English learners; addressing common mistakes, the best ways to correct them and use the language most effectively. It will also provide practical information about AAC’s English scholarship programme, Golden Future, which can fund up to VND1 billion (USD48,520) for studies.
A panel consisting of Paul Stanton, Drew Taylor, Vu Thuy Duong and a team from DTiNews will be available for three hours beginning at 9am on June 10.
Paul Stanton has been on the AAC team for years, and has a great experience teaching English, especially to Vietnamese students. His credentials include both the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and the Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
In addition to Vietnamese, Stanton is familiar with languages of some of the ethnic minority groups around the country, including Thai, Khmer, Tay and Mong. He is very aware of the difficulties that Vietnamese students face because of his familiarity with the culture.

Drew Taylor is ELS-AEC Vietnam’s Director of Client Services, a well-known English training institution in the U.S. After living in here for over six years, Taylor admits that he, “loves Vietnam very much”. He is rather fluent in the language.

Vu Thuy Duong is a former student of AAC, but remains an active member of AAC’s English Club. Duong used her language skills to work with the Moevenpick Group, a prestigious Swiss restaurant company, and then the ABB Group.
Duong had a great interest in English from an early age, and has won several prizes during her studies.
