According to the Son Dien Commune People’s Committee in Lam Dong Province, landslides occurred between late October 27 and early October 28, with two major sections collapsing on both the uphill and downhill sides, blocking all traffic.

Police and local authorities have been deployed to divert vehicles at both ends of the pass while excavators and bulldozers work to clear debris.
The road is expected to reopen by around 3 pm on the same day.
Stretching over 10 kilometres, Gia Bac Pass on National Highway 28 links National Highway 1A with National Highway 20 and serves as an essential corridor between Dalat and HCM City.
