Located in Ca Na Commune, Khanh Hoa Province, the project will feature a combined cycle gas turbine plant using liquefied natural gas, with a capacity of 1,500 MW. It is expected to generate approximately 9 billion kWh of electricity per year for the national grid.
The project also includes an LNG port and storage system, regasification facilities, storage tanks, a gas import terminal, breakwaters and supporting technical infrastructure.
The total land and water area allocated for the project is nearly 140 hectares. The plant’s total investment is estimated at more than VND 57 trillion (approximately USD 2.2 billion), with completion and commercial operation targeted for 2030.

“This is a highly significant project and an essential step towards establishing a regional energy hub. With the strong commitment of Khanh Hoa Province and the investors, I am confident it will be completed on schedule,” he said.
