The visit is made at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
PM Shinzo Abe, born in 1954, has been the President of the Liberal Democratic Party and the 90th and 96th Prime Minister of Japan. He is a graduate of Seikei University and the University of Southern California.
