The Indian naval ship INS Sahyadri has arrived in the central city of Danang, beginning a four-day tour of the locality.

The ship docked at Tien Sa Port on Tuesday and was welcomed by representatives from local authorities.

The visit is part of the Indian Navy's deployment to Southeast Asia.

During the stay in Danang, the guests will have a meeting with municipal authorities and exchange activities with the Vietnamese navy. Other events will include friendly games, a city visit for the Indian delegation and a Vietnamese navy and student visit to the ship.

The visit is expected to further deepen the relationship between Vietnam and India.
