Many areas in the northern Quang Tri Province are deeply flooded on October 31.

From southern Quang Tri to Danang, little rain is expected on October 31. However, from the night of October 31 to the night of November 1, rainfall may rise to 100 to 250 mm, with some locations seeing more than 350 mm.

On November 2, areas from Nghe An to Quang Ngai will continue to experience moderate to heavy rain of 70 to 150 mm, locally exceeding 300 mm. Meteorologists expect heavy rain across central Vietnam to persist until November 4.

Authorities warned that from October 31 to November 5, rivers in Nghe An and Quang Tri may flood, causing deep and widespread inundation in low-lying and urban areas over the coming days.

As of last night, about 75 communes and wards in Hue, Danang, and Quang Tri remained flooded. Flooding in Danang is expected to ease today, while water levels in Hue are forecast to fall more quickly.
