According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the northern region and some central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will start to see hot weather, with temperatures rising to 35 degrees Celsius on June 28.
The heat wave will continue to expand from June 29 to July 1, with average temperatures reaching between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius in the northern localities and over 38 degrees Celsius in some central areas.
On Thursday, the two regions were still experiencing rainy and cool weather, which was caused by a tropical depression that had lasted since Sunday.
