Four of the clinics have had their licenses revoked.

Director of the HCM City Health Department Nguyen Tan Binh filed a document to the city’s People’s Committee and the Ministry of Health outlining the issue. All seven clinics had violated regulations on medical practice and traditional medicine, including doctors that were practicing without licenses, use of illegal medicine, conducting unauthorized procedures, false advertising and fake advertising licenses.

Due to the seriousness of the violations, the city’s Health Department decided to revoke licenses from clinics on 141 Phan Dang Luu in Phu Nhuan District; 762 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street in Tan Binh District, 928 Lac Long Quan Street in Tan Binh District, and 199 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street in District 5.

The department is also considering revoking the licenses of foreign “doctors” who work for the four clinics. The department has passed the information on to the inspectorate police force.
