The Vietnam Vovinam Federation is coordinating with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare for the second World Vovinam Championships in late July.

The tournament will draw the participation of over 200 athletes from 20 countries and territories.
The tournament aims to advertise Vietnam’s martial arts to the world community, said Mai Ba Hung, Deputy Director of HCM City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Vovinam is now becoming popular in 40 countries and territories, particularly in the US, the Netherlands, Canada and France.
