Students in HCM City have been permitted to stay at home for one more week amid the rapid spread of coronavirus.
The decision was made following the HCM City Department of Education and Training’s proposal submitted to the municipal people’s committee.
Local students will be off school until February 16.
The city’s Department of Health has been assigned to help schools in epidemic prevention.
All extra classes will also have to conform to the instruction.
Meanwhile, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is seeking the municipal people’s committee decision on a similar proposal.
