HCM City has planned a variety of cultural and arts activities to welcome the coming Lunar New Year Holiday.
Between January 17 and March 5, HCM City will organise a photo exhibition on the beauty of HCM City’s daily life as well as photos of war memories. The event will take place in Dong Khoi Street and Ben Bach Dang Park.
On January 15-16, a Tet Cake Festival will be held at History Ethnic and Cultural Park. Visitors can join a competition to wrap Tet cakes. A Tet cake offering ceremony to the Hung Kings will be organised at the park’s Hung Kings Memorial Site on January 18.
The city has planned to hold a book festival on Le Loi Street on January 19-26.
On January 26, the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with other agencies will co-operate to hold a drama event to mark the 234th year anniversary of Tay Son Rebellion’s victory at Dong Da.
According to Vietnam Plus, the Nguyen Hue Flower Street, the city’s most visited attraction in Tet, will open from January 19-26. This year’s 600-metre flower street extends from the President Ho Chi Minh Statue in front of the city people’s committee building down Nguyen Hue Street to Ton Duc Thang Street.
An arts programme to mark the 93rd anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam will be held on February 3.
The annual HCM City Spring Flower Fair will open from January 16-27 at Tao Dan Park, featuring more than 2,500 endangered and imported plants and ornamental plants.
