Electric cars will be used for Togo's free service for drunk passengers and affordable rides for students and workers.

Around 2,000 electric cars will be used for Togo's service, which Togo Group operates.

Togo is offering average fares of VND9,000 per kilometre, a rate that undercuts many other taxi firms. These fares are fixed, ensuring they won't fluctuate based on the time of day.

People who use restaurants and eateries within the company's ecosystem will enjoy free return rides. Togo has partnered with hundreds of destinations for diners in HCM City, including major food chains and restaurants.

A representative of Togo Group, Vo Quoc Binh said his group plans to add around 1,000 electric cars to the service in the coming months and consider expanding it nationwide.

The Togo service has five packages for individual passengers, families, office workers, students and drunk passengers.
