Hanoi to build VND-740 billion wastewater treatment plant

Hanoi will build a VND740 billion (USD28.98 million) wastewater treatment plant in Ha Dong District.

The Hanoi Management Board for Technical Infrastructure and Agricultural Projects will invest in the Kien Hung Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2027. It is designed to feature a comprehensive wastewater treatment system for areas within the Phu Luong River basin.

The plant will accommodate a major main sewer network, overflow chambers, interceptor sewers, and a centralised wastewater treatment plant.

With advanced technology, the project ensures that collected wastewater is treated to meet the required standards before being discharged into the environment.

The project has a lifespan of at least 50 years.

Hanoi authorities recently also agreed on a VND500-billion (USD19.58 million) waste treatment project in Son Tay Town.
