Authorities in Tay Ho, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan and Tu Liem districts must co-operate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DNRE), the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Construction and the Department of Planning and Architecture to quickly deal with the problem that has existed for many years.

The DNRE will then sum up the results and propose solutions to the Hanoi People's Committee by October 15.

Previously, on July 12, an inspection has been carried out at of projects which have been allocated for over 12 months but haven't had construction or been used for other purposes such as football pitches eateries or parking areas. The reports were sent to the authorities by August 15 for review and then, based on the results, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai had ordered the city to tighten controls over land management on August 3.

The lands have been under scrutiny are projects at Nam Trung Yen, Cau Giay urban area, lands on Le Van Luong Street or Le Duc Tho Street in Tu Liem District.

The projects that have remained stagnant because of state agency faults or objective reasons will be helped in speeding up their implementation. However, investors who had violated regulations or were unable to carry on their allocated projects would have the land withdrawn. The city will invite bids for those projects in accordance with the law.
