The German Embassy in Vietnam issued a statement on September 27 to reject the false information on visa suspensions for Vietnamese citizens.
According to the statement, the diplomatic missions of Germany in Vietnam have received many questions concerning the suspension of German visas for Vietnamese students, enterprises and Government officials.
German diplomatic missions in Vietnam have asserted that the information is completely untrue.
The statement writes that the suspension of the strategic partnership between the two countries does not affect the issuance of visas at German diplomatic missions in Vietnam.
Due to the high demand for booking appointments, the waiting time for filing purposes can be prolonged for weeks. Therefore, the German diplomatic missions recommend that Vietnamese citizens plan their trips early in order to make a timely appointment through the German Embassy in Hanoi or the German Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City.
