Hang said the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department held a working session with the Vietnamese Economic – Cultural Office in Taipei on September 8 and asked the Taiwanese side to soon investigate and make clear the case, adding that the office issued urgent visa to family of the victim to handle funeral observances.
The office worked closely with the Taiwanese authorities and requested that the case must be seriously dealt with. It is also keeping a close watch on the case and ready to provide necessary citizen protection measures, including legitimate rights and interests of the Vietnamese national.
