At around 7 am, strong currents broke the mooring lines of the vessels anchored near Tran Hung Dao Bridge, sending them drifting downstream, while three basket boats were submerged.

Local authorities and fishermen in Phan Thiet Ward worked together to retrieve the boats and minimise damage as water levels continued to rise. Residents were advised to stay away from flooded and fast-flowing areas for safety.

Heavy rain overnight on October 26 also flooded several streets in Phu Thuy and Phan Thiet wards, with water levels reaching 20 to 40 centimetres on roads such as Thu Khoa Huan, Hung Vuong, and Tu Van Tu, disrupting local traffic.
