One person was pulled about 300 metres out to sea by the waves. Fortunately, rescuers reached him in time.
According to An, strong waves and dangerous rip currents have appeared at My Khe Beach. Warning signs have been posted, urging swimmers not to venture too far and to steer clear of areas with rip currents.
My Khe Beach, located in Tinh Khe Commune about 12 km from the centre of Quang Ngai, is one of the province’s most popular tourist attractions. The beach, however, has also seen frequent drowning incidents, especially during the summer.
