Five people in a family were killed in a fire at their house early this morning, April 21 in Hanoi's Dong Da District.

According to a report from local authorities, the fire occurred at around 1am at a two-storey house on Pham Ngoc Thach Street.
"The fire started at the ground floor and then spread onto the first and second floor at 1.13 am when the family were sleeping," the report said. "Firefighters arrived and managed to put out the fire 30 minutes later. Two people were rescued after they called for help from the third floor.""Four people were found dead inside the house. They were identified as Doan Thi Manh, 74, her son and daughter-in-law Bui Ngoc Khanh and Do Mai Huong who were both 37 years old, and their 10-year-old son Bui Nam Phong," the report said.
Meanwhile, their one-year-old son Bui Gia Hung was found still alive and was rushed to hospital. But he also died after that due to serious burns.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
