The incident occurred on Monday evening at Hai Cang Ward, Quy Nhon City.
The five fishing boats were seriously damaged by the fire
Initially, the fire broke out from two fishing boats and then spread to three others nearby.
Local authorities sent around 70 firefighters, nine fire engines and two pumps to the site.
The primary loss of the fire has been estimated at around tens of billions of VND.
Until 2 am of Tuesday, the fire was totally brought under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
