The exhibition displays 39 works on various materials composed by 27 artists during and after the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, including many works which will debut for first time.

The works bring visitors to the hard and arduous days of the anti-French resistance war and to meet the ordinary but great people who achieved the great victory.

The event, held in celebration of the 65th anniversary of the resounding Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2019), aims to honour the officials, soldiers and people whoaccomplished the resounding victory, thus firmly protectingnational independence and giving people a prosperous and happy life.

Painter Tran Khanh Chuong, Chairman of Vietnam Fine Art Association, affirmed that the event not only highlights the significance of the great victory, but also helps local people, especially younger generations, to improve their understanding on the traditions of heroism and patriotism during the struggle for national liberation.

The exhibition runs until May 10.
