According to the Mines Advisory Group (MAG), the munitions were discovered on April 22 at a depth of 15 cm at a land plot in Dong Son Village, Hai Lang District’s Hai Son Commune.
The explosive devices found in Quang Tri
Most of the explosives, which remained intact, were then removed to a location for a controlled explosion.
MAG started searching for explosives in Quang Tri in January. The work is scheduled to be finished in June this year.
In February, MAG moved and detonated 108 dangerous explosive items found in a Melaleuca forest in Hai Son Commune.
Over 400 explosive devices were also previously found in Quang Tri’s Dong Ha Town in March.
