Dozens fined for traffic violations during Dak Nong cloud-hunting trip

A group of 78 young people has been fined for traffic violations and causing public disorder during their cloud-hunting trips on a pine hill in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong.

These members, aged between 15 and 25, are from Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces. They have recently visited the pine hill in Nam N’Jang Commune, Dak Song District, many times to take photos and film the cloud scenery.

While enjoying the experience on the hill, they often drove recklessly, swerving, revving their engines loudly, and potentially organising illegal motorbike races, threatening public order and safety.

Many were found unqualified to ride motorbikes, had illegally modified their vehicle’s frame, appearance, size, or specifications, lacked a valid driver’s licence, failed to show vehicle registration documents, or did not display licence plates.

The police carried out an alcohol and drug test for all 78 individuals and discovered one alcohol-positive case.

On Sunday morning, 78 vehicles were impounded by the authorities.

The pine hill in Nam N’Jang Commune is ideal for hunting clouds in the early morning.
