Nguyen Van Hai stopped at the yard of the XPHome Apartment Building in Hanoi's Hoai Duc District one Sunday morning. He quickly checked some bags tied to his motorbike, took out a series of packages and started to make phone calls.

Besides Hai, many other delivery drivers were also busy doing the same.
"It's now shopping season and we've been very busy these days," Hai said, adding that the shopping season started around Christmas and would last until the Tet Lunar New Year Holiday.
"As more people are turning to online shopping, we can make a good income during this period, especially when more shopping sites are offering discounts to boost sales," he said. "I'm shipping between 200-300 packages to customers around the districts of Dan Phuong and Hoai Duc a day."
The delivery man who is working for Viettel Post Company shared that he starts working from 6.30 am until late in the evening and earns over VND1 million (USD42) a day.
"This is a very good income for us," he said. "So I'm trying to work hard to make up for the time when we’re less busy."
