
Danang will reopen public beaches and some services from September 30 as the Covid-19 situation has improved in the area.
Speaking at a meeting held on Tuesday, Danang City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang said that the city would gradually adjust its Covid-19 prevention regulations to suit the new situation.
“We’ll move to a new status with new preventive measures," he said. "We’ll reopen 10 services from September 30 while still strictly applying various measures for Covid-19 prevention."
Markets will only have half the stalls open at one time. All traders and delivery drivers must get at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine 14 days before working at the markets or have recovered from Covid-19 within six months. Each household is allowed to go to market three times a day and must bring a shopping paper with QRCode.
Indoor meetings, seminars, and sport activities can be held with no more than 20 participants. Events at religious facilities can be held with no more than 30 people.
Beauty care centres and hair salons can resume operation after all the staff are vaccinated for at least 14 days. And they are allowed to only serve three guests at a time.
Hotels are allowed to resume operations at 30 percent capacity with only room service. Public beaches will be open from 4.30 am to 6.30 pm.
Public transportation will operate at no more than half the seats available.
Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang has also asked to prepare for the reopening of schools.
The central city has gradually brought the outbreak under control with 49 out of 56 wards being labelled as green areas. Vaccination has been sped up in the city with 73 percent of people aged from 18 years old getting vaccines.
