Pham Duc An, chair of the Danang People's Committee, has agreed in principle to invest in the construction of the route linking central Danang with the southern urban corridor spanning Tam Ky and Chu Lai.
Under the phased investment plan, the city leader requested that the project initially be designed with four to six lanes.
Authorities also emphasised the need to study planning options to ensure the route connects key functional areas within the broader urban centre.

The Danang Department of Construction has been tasked with leading the project planning process in coordination with the Danang Department of Finance and the Danang Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Authority.
These agencies will update the project within the city’s planning framework and related development plans based on the agreed route alignment and cross-section design.
