The project, located in the Con Tien urban area in Hoi An Dong Ward, has a total investment of about VND 700 billion (USD 26.8 million) and is expected to provide housing for nearly 2,200 residents.

It will comprise four seven-storey apartment buildings and is designed to help meet growing demand for affordable housing while supporting the city's long-term urban development.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, Vice Chairwoman of the Danang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said social housing remained a key part of the city's social welfare policy and would help provide stable housing for workers and low-income residents.
She said the city remained committed to completing nearly 29,000 social housing units during the 2025-2030 period, in line with a target assigned by the prime minister.
The project is part of Danang's broader strategy to expand the supply of affordable housing and support sustainable economic growth by improving access to housing for local residents.
