A road is submerged following heavy downpours in Dalat City on June 26
The rains which lasted many hours on Wednesday afternoon had caused rising floods at local springs, canals and lakes.
The flood water submerged many roads, fields and houses in wards 1, 2, 3, 5, and 9.
Some houses were put between 30-40cm in flood water.
Pham Huu Duc, Head of the Residential Area 2 in Ward 9, said that many houses in the area have been submerged as flood water rose to approximately a metre.
"This is a low area lying by a spring," Duc explained.
Residents on Trang Trinh Street said that floods have occurred more often here following heavy rains in some recent years.
