Da Lat to spend VND1 trillion on transport infrastructure projects

Da Lat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong will spend around VND1 trillion (USD423.728 million) on six transport infrastructure projects this year.

These projects are scheduled to be completed in 2026 at the latest. VND278.5 billion will be for the upgrade of Phu Dong Thien Vuong Road; VND139.5 billion will be used for the expansion of Hoang Van Thu Road; VND22.5 billion will be for expanding Tran Le Road; meanwhile, the remainder will be spent on expanding Bui Thi Xuan Road in wards 2 and 8, and roads in An Ton residential area in Ward 5.

An overview of Da Lat City


The city will invest VND119 billion into installing traffic lights and upgrading around 10 intersections which include Hai Thuong-Hai Ba Trung-Hoang Dieu, Ngo Quyen-La Son-Nguyen An Ninh, Hai Ba Trung- La Son Phu Tu, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh-Nguyen Cong Tru, Tan Da-Hai Ba Trung and Tan Da- Phan Dinh Phung.

The city will use VND163.5 billion to replace current traffic lights with high-tech LED lights.

Da Lat is also focusing on settling difficulties related to site clearance for Yersin Park and the road construction linking Lu Gia Road to Xuan Huong Lake.

The third phase of Yersin Park has a total investment capital of VND169 billion, including VND142 billion for site clearance. By the end of last year, VND90 billion for site clearance had been disbursed.

The road project connecting Lu Gia Road to Xuan Huong Lake with a total investment of VND138 billion has been at a snail's pace due to the rising cost of site clearance.

The slow pace of these projects has seriously affected local residents.
