Visiting the company during their founding anniversary ceremony on December 29, MoLISA minister Dao Ngoc Dung offered his congratulations for their work over the past 30 years. The minister presented a certificate of merit to the company at the event.
Dung praised the company's efforts to improve their services and become the country's leading suppliers of high-quality labour.
"LOD has sent over 60,000 workers to many countries and territories world-wide, bringing revenue of over USD 1.80 billion to the country," Dung noted. "The company is also the only in Vietnam to have run the programmes to send nurse and caregiver candidates to Japan to work under the Japan-Vietnamese Economic Partnership Agreement over the past 10 years. They experienced two years with lots of challenges and difficulties posed by the Covid-19 pandemic but still maintained their operations with 242 staff members and over 200 teachers."
Speaking at the ceremony, LOD chairman Vu Cong Binh shared that they started the company with modest capital of just VND 300 million and 30 staff members.
"We've tried our best to develop the company focusing on the quality of our services," Binh said. "And now looking back over those 30 years, we can be proud of our achievements that have been acknowledged."
The ceremony also saw the attendance of former governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Le Duc Thuy, former Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly External Affairs Committee Tran Van Hang, MoLISA deputy minister Nguyen Ba Hoan, and a representative from the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam, Ishii Chikahisa.
