The attack took place at around 11 pm on October 26 along National Highway 1A near Na Tha Hamlet, Dong Kinh Ward. The victim was a local driver, while the suspects were identified as foreign nationals.
Police quickly launched a search operation and detained three Chinese men a few kilometres from the scene. Initial investigations revealed the group had crossed the border into Vietnam, planned the attack, and targeted taxi drivers for robbery.
A fourth suspect remains at large. Authorities have urged residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to ensure public safety.
