Ngo Thuy Trang lives with her children in a small house in Chau Hung A Commune, Vinh Loi District. In April 2021, Trang's husband was electrocuted and died, leaving behind two small children who are three years old and one month old. They had to borrow money to hold the funeral.

On July 14, Dantri representatives and Chairman of Vinh Loi District People's Committee Tu Minh Phuc visited Trang and transferred VND159,364,415 (USD6,800).

"Your donation and kindness will help Trang raise her children and improve their living conditions," Phuc said. "It's a very precious gift."

Trang also thanked everyone that helped her. After the story was published, she received over VND25m (USD1,000) directly from readers.

She said she would spend a part of the money to rebuild the house. She also planned to learn to tailor or open a small business to earn money.
