The rain, which started Tuesday, has been forecasted to end on Friday. The weather would affect localities from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai, bringing a rainfall high of around 100mm.

The central region of Vietnam is witnessing torrential rain
The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has warned whirlwinds, thunderbolts and hail would occur during the rain. Low-lying areas in the central region in particular would experience flash floods and landslides.
Between December 28-30, the northern region and central localities from Nghe An to Thua Thien-Hue would continue facing the cold weather. Temperatures could drop below three degrees centigrade. Hanoi’s lowest temperature would be 12 degrees centigrade.
Meanwhile, the coastal area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai provinces would see waves of 3-5 metres.
