One hundred and twenty students of Buon Ma Thuot City and Ea H'leo District received support in Dak Lak Province.
Speaking at the event, Tran Duy Tuyen, Head of Dantri's office in the Central and Central-Highlands regions, expressed his sincere thanks to local authorities and donors for participating in the newspaper's health insurance programme. He expressed hopes of receiving further support from kind donors and other partners for Dantri's other charity and social programmes.
"As a speaker of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Dantri has carried out various programmes to support disadvantaged people nationwide," Tuyen said. "In addition to raising funds for 5,300 individuals over the past 20 years, Dantri has built dozens of bridges, schools, and houses in difficult areas."
At the ceremony, Le Thi Kinh Oanh, the deputy director of the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training, highly appreciated Dantri's initiative to provide health insurance for disadvantaged students.
"This is meaningful support for disadvantaged students ahead of a new school year," she said.
Also, on Monday morning, Dantri worked with Kon Tum Eye Hospital and the MTV Ngoc Nhan Company to present 200 health insurance cards to students from low-income families in Kon Tum Province.
Le Van Dong, head of the province's Kon Plong District Department of Education and Training, shared that many of the local students are from ethnic groups who have very difficult lives and cannot afford health insurance.
"More than 1,000 students in our district currently have no health insurance," he said. "So this is a very valuable support for poor people in our locality. Thank you so much for your help."
