A bomb weighing nearly 200kg is found on the bank of the Ngan Sau River in Ha Tinh Province on October 13.
According to Hoang Xuan Tan, chairman of Ha Linh Commune, the bomb was found on October 13 by residents while rowing on the Ngan Sau River.
“They noticed an object resembling a bomb lying on the eroded riverbank and immediately reported it to local authorities,” Tan said. “Upon inspection, officials identified the object as a bomb with the serial number 2518425.”

The bomb measures around 1.5 metres in length, 25 centimetres in diameter, and weighs nearly 200 kilograms.
Authorities have cordoned off the site, set up warning signs, and deployed personnel to guard the area around the clock while awaiting a disposal plan.
Local officials said that a similar American War bomb had been found in the same area in the past.
