Visiting some beauty salons on the morning of October 25, DTiNews reporters saw that most of them with licenses from the Hanoi Department of Health closed. Many others were simply deserted.
Ha Thanh Beauty Salon, on Kim Ma Street, turned off their lights inside and taken down their ads. They did paste three notices informing that salon operations will be halted while waiting for a new license. However, no specific time was mentioned.
A number of other beauty salons on Kim Ma Street have still opened, but they do not seem to attract many customers.
Some neighboures said these salons used to attract many customers, but after the case of Cat Tuong Salon, this has changed.

A guard from a beauty salon at No. 99 Van Cao Street in Ba Dinh District said that due to the incident of Cat Tuong Beauty Salon, the centre discontinued all advertisement. He told the reporter that if she wanted the service, she could to to Cua Bac Street.
The centre is still being operated, but has been limited to providing only normal check-ups, including problems related to ear, nose and throat.
Another licensed address at No. 330 Buoi Street in Ba Dinh District suddenly disappeared. Instead, the beauty salon is now advertised as providing another service.
