According to the committee chairman, Nguyen Truong Thanh, the night market will be open between 4-8 pm daily. There will be 62 food stalls operated by poor households or workers who have just lost jobs.
"We encourage them to offer local specialities at the market," Thanh said. "People registered to operate a stall here undergo food safety and environment protection training."
The official said they are preparing final works including planting more trees, installing a lighting system using solar energy, building a fence along the canal, arranging dustbins and arranging other facilities so the market can open next week.
Thanh said that the market was located near one that closed earlier this month.
"The An Nhut Night Market, which has become very popular since its opening around the 2024 Tet Lunar New Year Festival, was closed due to concerns over food hygiene and traffic safety," he said. "We’re now re-opening it after upgrading the facilities and providing training for the traders. We hope it will continue to attract visitors."

The market is being set up along a riverside road amidst rice fields in Long Dien District and featuring stalls selling local specialities.
