A man in Danang is recovering in hospital after being bitten by a cobra but still managing to trap the snake and carry it home.

The incident came to public attention after a video circulated on social media showing an elderly man, who had lost an arm, walking along a road while gripping a long snake. A closer look revealed the snake had bitten his elbow.

According to local residents, the incident occurred on the morning of the same day in Dai Loc Commune. Despite the injury, the man held onto the snake and brought it back to his house before relatives took him to hospital.

The patient was first admitted for emergency treatment at Quang Nam Northern Mountainous Area General Hospital before being transferred to Danang General Hospital for further care.

Hospital officials said the man had been bitten by a Cobra. His condition is now stable and he remains under medical observation.
