Positioning the second segment of the Thu Thiem Tunnel under the Sai Gon River in Ho Chi Minh City was thought to be a more difficult process than the first segment was, however, the task was completed successfully and earlier than expected.
Due to the river's smooth flow, the position of the second segment took place without much difficulty. The segment was positioned correctly and everyone was happy that the job was completed by mid-day, one and a half hours earlier than anticipated. This will allow for favourable conditions today, April 6, for the next step, which requires turning, positioning and anchoring the whole tunnel under the water.
