The Immigration Management Division under An Giang Provincial Police Department said on February 28 it had coordinated with relevant units to complete deportation procedures for two Chinese citizens aged 25 and 17.

Earlier, during patrols in the Chau Doc Ward area, officers detected two foreigners showing signs of illegal entry. They were invited to the local police station for questioning.
Verification showed that both individuals were Chinese nationals without passports or valid international travel documents, and there was no record of lawful entry into Vietnam. At the police station, they admitted to crossing the national border without completing immigration procedures as required by law.
The Immigration Management Division issued administrative fines against the two individuals and finalised deportation procedures in accordance with regulations.
An Giang Police Department have urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid assisting, concealing or harbouring foreigners who enter or reside in Vietnam illegally. Citizens are encouraged to promptly provide information to authorities when violations are detected to help maintain local security and order.
