The body was discovered in a hostel room on Tran Nhan Thong Street at the hotel in Cam Chau Ward.

According to the hostel owner, the 31-year-old was from the US. He hired the room for several months for travelling. However, his name has not yet been revealed.
Colonel Dinh Xuan Nghi, head of Hoi An Town’s Police Department, said that an investigation into the case was being conducted.
The man is suspected to have committed suicide. The hostel owner earlier said that the man had written a suicide note and asked her to send it to his relatives in the US.
