Under Minister To Lam’s instruction, director of cities and provinces’ department of police need to ask the police of local communes and wards to check every household to identify people who arrived in the country between March 8-25.

Minister of Public Security To Lam has requested localities nationwide to find all people who arrived in Vietnam from abroad from March 8

The list of these people has to be sent to the Ministry of Public Security before 6 pm today, March 25.

These people have to quarantine themselves at home and submit a health declaration. They are also required to update their health condition for local authorities to deal with possible risks.

According to Lam, the police have to try to fulfill their duty at quarantine areas to ensure safety and efficiency for the virus prevention.

The minister cited Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as saying that the fight against Covid-19 has entered the third phase. It is necessary to restrict gatherings and temporarily close bars, stadiums and cinemas.

The prime minister has agreed to the use of hotels and resorts to collect fees for quarantined people. Anyone who does not conform to Covid-19 prevention and control regulations, including the quarantine, will be strictly punished.
