According to the Department of Construction, 2,518 projects were reviewed and violations were discovered at 232 projects. 99 constructions were built without permits, 85 violated regulations and 31 were not in accordance with urban planning. 17 constructions were found to have negative effects on surrounding buildings.
They have dealt with 147 cases as of March 25 and have continued working on 85 cases.
Many of them were built in protective forest, Ba Vi National Park or were super thin.
98 employees at the Department of Construction were punished. 72 reprimanded, 16 given warnings, three had their wages lowered, two were demoted and five people were sacked.
20 people were officials at the Department of Construction including two deputy chiefs and 18 heads or deputy heads of divisions.
