A traveller posted a clip recorded by his car's black box showing that the barriers were only half closed when the train passed through the crossing at 3.56 pm on Ho Dac Di Street in Hue City on January 18.
Le Hong Hai, the director of the Binh Tri Thien Railway Company, announced on January 20 that they had temporarily suspended three staff members.
"They were also asked to send a detailed report about the incident," Hai said.
The move came after the barriers at Ho Dac Di Street were slow to close when a train ran over them on the afternoon of January 18, when the three staff members were working in the area.

Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident.
Hai said that they were investigating the cause of the incident.
