According to a report from local authorities, the accident occurred on National Road 1A at 5.20 am when a truck running from Hanoi to Ha Nam Province hit a motorbike carrying four people which was running in the opposite direction.
The intense crash left three people on the motorbike dead on the spot and the other suffered serious injuries and has been rushed to a local hospital.
Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
