The male passenger refuses to co-operate despite repeated requests from the cabin crew to return to his assigned seat.
According to reports from the Southern Airports Authority, at around 9 am on March 12 at Can Tho Airport, a passenger in seat 26D on a Can Tho–Danang flight unilaterally moved to seat 27F while the aircraft was taxiing for takeoff. The passenger refused to co-operate despite repeated requests from the cabin crew to return to his assigned seat.
After 15 minutes of unsuccessful persuasion, the captain returned the aircraft to its parking position and denied the passenger carriage on the flight.
In his written statement, the passenger admitted, “As the aircraft was preparing for takeoff, I argued with and threatened the flight attendants. Later, I was escorted by airport security for questioning. I acknowledge that my actions were wrong.”
The passenger was fined VND2 million and was denied transportation on that flight.
