Many tourists still come to the train street in Hanoi despite warning signs.
Tour operators and businesses providing transport services for tourists are prohibited from promoting or arranging visits to the cafe-lined railway section running through the wards of Cua Nam, Hang Bong, and Cua Dong.
The department has also called on relevant agencies to work closely together to detect, prevent, and address any violations in accordance with regulations.
This measure has been implemented to ensure railway safety and public order, with authorities urging businesses to comply.
Train street, which runs approximately two kilometres through Le Duan, Tran Phu, Cua Dong, and Phung Hung streets, has become a popular attraction for tourists seeking unique photo opportunities. The section from Tran Phu to Phung Hung, spanning around 300 metres, has been dubbed the new Train Street cafe district and is particularly favoured by international visitors.
Local authorities decided to close train street due to safety concerns in 2022 but tourists are still coming to the area through various ways.
