The northern city of Hai Phong is the first locality in the country to provide free education for children from kindergarten to middle school levels from the 2020-2021 school year and those in high school starting the 2021-2022 school year.
The central city of Danang also approved free schooling from kindergarten to high school from the 2023-2024 academic year.
