The Dongxing– Mong Cai route is part of the international passenger transport corridor in the border area between Fangchenggang (China) and Tien Yen (Vietnam). The two sides reached an agreement and granted permits for the route in 2022, but its implementation has been delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Dongxing Public Transportation Company, that operates the route, said in the initial phase, there are five trip a day between the two destinations, and the frequency will be adjusted based on the actual situation and passenger volume to ensure the service meets demand and operates efficiently.

The route is part of efforts to enhance cross-border transportation, facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services between China and Vietnam. Once fully operational, it will help to improve connectivity, promote tourism, and support economic cooperation between the two countries.
