A 100-metre-long dyke breaks and fall into the Co Chien River in Vinh Long Province, threatening the houses and garden of 50 households.
According to the An Binh Commune People's Committee, 50 households were evacuated to a safe place on December 18 after a 100-metre-long dyke broke down, threatening their homes.
"The dyke has collapsed due to a landslide underneath its base," the committee said. "The incident has affected 50 houses and 55 hectares of surrounding gardens."
Local authorities are mobilising forces to repair the dyke.
